Data QuietDock handles

QuietDock handles only the information needed to provide its focus timer and site-blocking features:

• Blocked domains. The domains you choose to block are saved with Chrome Storage Sync when it is available, so Chrome may sync them between browsers signed in to your Google account. Otherwise, they are stored locally in your browser.
• Focus data and preferences. Timer state, completed session counts, focus-time history, and theme preference are stored locally or for the current browser session.
• Tab addresses. While QuietDock is running, it temporarily reads the addresses of open and updated tabs to compare their hostnames with your blocked-domain list. It does not save a browsing history or read page content.

How the data is used

This information is used only to run the timer, show your focus statistics and preferences, and block the domains you selected during an active session. QuietDock does not use it for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to its user-facing focus features.

Sharing and transmission

QuietDock does not send extension data to the developer and does not sell or share it with advertisers or data brokers. If Chrome Storage Sync is available, your blocked-domain list is handled by Google as part of your Chrome account and is subject to Google’s privacy practices.

QuietDock registers an optional uninstall survey hosted by Tally. Chrome may open that external page after you uninstall the extension. No extension data is included in the survey link. Any information you choose to submit there is handled by Tally and is not required to use QuietDock.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Data remains in Chrome until you remove it or Chrome clears it. You can remove blocked domains and clear focus statistics from QuietDock’s settings. You can also uninstall QuietDock to remove the extension and its access to Chrome. Synchronized data is additionally managed through your Google account and Chrome settings.

Website and feedback

The QuietDock website does not include analytics or advertising scripts. Its Feedback link opens an optional form hosted by Tally. Information submitted through that form is provided voluntarily and is handled by Tally.

Limited use

QuietDock’s use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data access is limited to what is necessary to provide and maintain the extension’s disclosed focus and site-blocking features.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated if QuietDock’s data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when that happens. Questions about this policy can be sent through the feedback form.
